very attractive hotel, we enjoyed the Hunan Restaurant. The management is hight attentive which is quite unusual today. We would definitely book again.

Very nice hotel just next to a shopping mall with lots of choice for good restaurants.  Views of the river from the hotel was very good too.  The moment we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff. Especially the concierge staff were extremely helpful with the locations of the places we’d like to go.  The only hiccup we had was at Sky27 Bar where service was not good.

The room is pretty with nice views, but the 2 beds are definitely too small to accommodate 3 people. Perhaps the hotel should use bigger beds or open up a triple room for odd numbered families like mine.
I clearly mentioned to this handsome front desk staff during check in that I have 3 pax. He was friendly and all, but alas the room only had items to cater for 2pax. I called the front desk and this same guy attended my call to get the items for the 3rd pax. He even called again after the delivery and reassured me that he had reminded the housekeeping that the room is stayed by 3pax. Guess what? The next day when we returned from a whole day of travelling, we came back to the room with missing items again. There were 3 towels so we just let it slide and decided not to call the front desk as it was our last night anyway...
Also, what kind of upscale hotel does not/is unable to provide customers with the help they need through online methods?? Other than trip.com chat, there was literally no way for me to reach the hotel. They don't even have a local number that I can borrow to book attraction tickets! What a shame! And when I asked about this at the front counter, it seems like the message was "you're on your own". Definitely not a good feeling for a family who was visiting the country for the first time!! And I really expected better from an upscale hotel like this.
Lastly, I believe that the hotel is located too far away from the main attractions, hence the surroundings are rather deserted. We always leave the hotel by DiDi anyway so it wasn't a deal breaker for us. It didn't seem like there were food places nearby that were open at night, so you might need MeiTuan if you're staying in (but good luck if you have no local number!!). This is also how you can get a quiet location + nice views + a reasonable price. Worth it for the luxury experience if you're a party of 2.

Our property has some California King beds available and with our high occupancy they sold out quickly, which could have been a great solution for your family. I will certainly review the process with housekeeping concerning removing extra items during the guest’s stay and I apologize for this inconvenience. I am surprised you did not see our local phone number as we have been established in Changsha for over 10 years and our operators are on standby 24 /7 to answer any calls as well as Concierge service with two Clefs d’Or Concierges who would have been delighted to answer any questions and help you make reservations for attractions, shows, or any other events. We are only 15 minutes by cab from Changsha downtown, which gives our guests a quiet and green surrounding that our repeat and loyal guests come to enjoy. The mall that is connecting our hotel has great dining options as well as along the river you can find some local restaurants. I hope you will give us another opportunity to show you and your family why we have been recognized by many as one of the landmark hotels in Changsha. Looking forward to welcoming you and your family again.

Super nice hotel - very modern with plenty of room space

My family and I stayed about 10 days at the hotel over the New Year, and it was generally a really nice visit. We had paid for a premium room which gave us access to their lounge as we would stay very much at the hotel.
The room was large and spacious, and especially the bathroom was really nice with plenty of space.
The lounge was a little disappointing. The staff working there was really nice, but the selection of food and drinks was a little sad. It was only possible to get a limited amount of food and drink and the buffet was very limited. We have stayed in other hotels in China, where the standard was much better.
The hotel is centrally located, close to a metro station and right next to a large shopping center where there is plenty of shopping and dinner options.
The breakfast buffet below had a huge selection and was very nice. However, there was immense loud music, which made it very uncomfortable, so we usually chose to eat our breakfast in the lounge, where the selection was much smaller, but where there was peace to enjoy the morning. I would actually say that it was uncomfortable to sit in that noise in the morning.
The fitness center was really nice and was of better quality than I normally see in hotels. The swimming hall was also nice with a pool with warmer water and a regular swimming pool, where there was also a section with a lower depth.
All in all it was a good visit - but there is a little to give the visit five stars.

I apologize for not meeting your expectations, as we have enhanced the Club InterContinental breakfast with an à la carte menu and also a buffet but cannot replicate our all-day dining Symphony. Concerning the music in that restaurant, I will remind our food and beverage manager to check the volume. I am happy however that you were able to use our well-being facilities and you enjoyed them.
