Absolutely epic great idea short notice, it's not cheap frills but worth every penny trust. Great people can't wait to go back.

While the city is expensive it is easy to find cheap flights and accommodation which can make up for how expensive the city is. There are artsy bars and extremely friendly locals. There is also old and interesting architecture in the city as well as sculpture parks near Oslo including the art by famous artists such as Gustav Vigeland and Louise Bourgeois. The Munch museum is also a must see in the city.
